Terme Art is a traditional Iranian art in which colored threads are used to stitch different patterns. This art was widely practiced in ancient times in Iran and in some regions such as Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Afghanistan.
Terme Art can be done by hand or machine. In the hand method, colored threads are stitched onto decorative fabric with a needle, resulting in beautiful and colorful designs. In the machine method, a device called a Terme-doz, which functions like a normal sewing machine, is used, but colored threads are used instead of regular thread.
Terme Art is known as a decorative and aesthetic art and is used to embellish clothing, fabrics, pots, and other objects. This art continues to this day in many regions of Iran and around the world and is recognized as one of Iran's cultural heritages.
